A former registered nurse mentioned, "Managers at Nemours are corrupt and get where they are by throwing people under the bus and walking all over people. There is favoritism, unfair practices, and double standards. Bullying is a constant and reporting you gets you nothing but retaliation. If you question anything, raise any issues/concerns, or even seem like you don’t completely agree with everything management says you will be Targeted and they will make your life miserable until you quit or they find a reason to fire you. HR is absolutely useless and if you go to them with concerns they will help management drive the buss right over you."

SPD Technician (Former Employee) says"Patient safety is always a high priority in the SPD department. The technicians in sterile processing always took pride in their work. On the other hand, the demeaning culture of management towards employees, caused discouragement within employees and a volatile environment."
Patient Registration (Volunteer) says"I would clock in and get free food. Atmosphere was nice. Patients were also easy to work with. I loved everything about this company. They always worked with my schedule."
Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) says"I have never been in an environment that was so distasteful. The management is ridiculous. Manager is a bully. If you don’t suck up you’re out the door. HR is useless if they are friends with management they will always side with them. Never again will I ever apply to anything within this company. As hard I have been working doesn’t matter I am one foot out the door by a threat to termination by management. Again doesn’t matter how hard you work. Cons: Management"
Billing (Former Employee) says"So many employees have left and are glad to not be associated with this company anymore. The managers are horrible, fake, two-faced and treat employees with little to no respect. It was once a great place to work but the new management has a major attitude issue towards the employees. It's like high school, the managers are bullies. As one manager said, I have eyes and ears everywhere. So if you say anything thry don't like, you are out of there."
Lead Enrollment Specialist (Former Employee) says"Don't waste your time, very cutthroat atmosphere. I would never recommend anyone to work there. The people are not friendly, no management support at all."
Associate (Former Employee) says"Skills, education and work abilities do not matter. If you are in the click and a friend of management you advance, if not you are treated like a red headed step child. Management is sneaky and has people walk around listening to employees. Employees are told managers have eyes and ears everywhere and if you do not put the company needs above anything else you are no use to the company."
Dental Assistant (Former Employee) says"The dental department is pretty much non exiastant. I quit a job to work for what I thought was a great company, upon arrival it was so unorganized and no dental department. I was asked to fill in for a medical assistant in other departments which I was not qualified for."
Physician (Former Employee) says"lots of internal layoffs and dismissals due to budget issues and failure to collaborate with Sacred Heart. The new relationship with West Florida fails to recognize local cultural norms that define"
Registration Rep (Current Employee) says"Welcoming staff, families, children and doctors"
Nurse (Current Employee) says"Management is not qualified. Cons: Orentation not followed, specially by admin."
Nobody important (Former Employee) says"Staff are promoted not because they are qualified but because they can “spill the dirt” on someone higher up. It’s not what you, it’s who you know. If you are a yes man, then you will succeed"
Patient Service Representative (Former Employee) says"I would never recommend this place for anyone. It started off well and then it continuously changed for the worse. Management is very dismissive and abusive towards staff and unreceptive to any concerns that you have. Worst few years of my life. This is a place that will suck years of your life away. Do NOT apply for this company."
Patient Access Specialist (Former Employee) says"It is the worst experience I have had in my working history. I resigned this position because Management is terrible!!!!. They cant keep employees because of their unprofessional, underhanded actions."
Nurse (Former Employee) says"High turnover, poor leadership, unstable environment, unsupportive management and upper leadership, frequent turnover of staff due to poor morale and high clinical volumes, Leadership positions are filled before posting Cons: Non-Supportive Management and Director leadership"
material management (Former Employee) says"A very bad work/life balance. If you have a family, or kids of your own, you don't want to work here! Management plays favorites, and stretches the staff thin. Co-workers backstab you, and are quick to "throw you under the bus." When you have a new idea, you are quickly cut down by management, and then they present the same idea in their words to make it seem like they thought of it. If you have a concern of any kind, the most common and famous response there will be... "It is what it is". You are referred to as a "body", or "pair of hands", and since management bickers amongst themselves, getting a clear answer about anything is a joke. As for training, if you like being thrown right into the fire, this is the place for you! Once you decide you want to leave, they treat you poorly, and make you feel uncomfortable. Oh, and the vacation and floating holidays that you worked hard for to accrue? Yea, they take all that away from you too! Other than helping the kids there, there is absolutely no advantage to working at Nemours. Cons: everything else"
PSS (Former Employee) says"Mirco manger to the tee. Not a fun place. You would think that the job would be awesome because it is a childred clinic. Nooooo more that job security and power struck supervisor and managers. Look elsewhere. The most enjoying thing about the job at Nemours were helping the kids. Cons: stressfel"
Surgical Service Administrative Coordinator (Former Employee) says"I had been employed there for 13 years and the work environment has completely changed. It has become entangled in the health BUSINESS vs health CARE. As a children's hospital that is a fine line to walk. The focus of daily operations would solely be based off of numbers & statistics vs a humanistic factor. The work expectations of a single person would become overwhelming since statically everything can be done in a perfect 8 hour shift without any hickups. And in effort to save, expect do the role of 4 all roled into 1. Cons: Poorly managed, over bearing workload, toxic enviroment"
Receptionist (Current Employee) says"Can hardly get a day off without begging 🥺 Totally ridiculous!!nemours computers are old and don’t work. Some Drs and management talk about you and down to you . Cons: Poor management!"
Patient Service Representative II (Former Employee) says"Typical day at work is very busy, answering phones, checking in and out patients. Completing right fax or scanning documents into a patient chart. Communication with external and internal facilities such as Hospitals, ER and Urgent Care Centers. Faxing and mailing letters to patients for the Doctors. Participating in once a month staff meetings. Light cleaning of the office. Documenting all information for a patient into chart for doctors and Hospitals to review. Answering calls or calling back patients with point of care. Cons: Paid Time off, Breaks and Lunches"
Current Employee - Physician says"I have been working at Nemours Children's Health System full-time for more than 8 years Cons: Culture of denigrating physicians, awful in primary care Work here if you enjoy idiots telling you np and pas are your equals in training and knowledge No support for physicians even from other physicians Awful culture and cliques The devil is promotions forget it if you’re a minority"
Current Employee - Nurse says"I have been working at Nemours Children's Health System full-time Cons: Only care about money. Not their staff"
Current Employee - Medical Assistant says"I have been working at Nemours Children's Health System full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Worst place to work Nemours demand you 7/24/365 specially in ACC area management is very bad, think before you accept to work here a long way is not worth and don’t forget you will never grow professionally, vacations must be requested 6 MONTHS in advance and they may said not because always are short staff, and holidays schedule is for 3 years so they already plan your holidays fir you :("
Former Employee - Critical Care RN says"I worked at Nemours Children's Health System full-time Cons: Too few policies, too many politics, zero support for the staff, poor unit management and administrative leadership, toxic work environment"
Former Employee - Patient Service Representative says"I worked at Nemours Children's Health System full-time for more than 5 years Cons: Treated like trash by management, Little professional growth"
Current Employee - Employee says"I have been working at Nemours Children's Health System full-time Cons: Executive staff feels they're entitled to the free labor of the healthcare workers. Just been told we won't be paid and forced to use PTO if we have it during the shutdown period. All the support and executive staff will be paid because they can work from home. If the hospital is shut down what work is there to do that entitles these people to continue collecting a paycheck? One this is clear Larry Moss and Co. only care about one thing and that is the bottom line and their bonuses. Would never recommend anyone working here or having children come here for care."

Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"I worked at Nemours Children's Health System full-time Cons: pay, work/life-balance, advancement, Favoritism, Age Bias"
Pharmacy Technician says"I worked at Nemours Children's Health System for more than 5 years Cons: Pharmacy management is made up of totally inexperienced managers. They are out of touch with their workforce or they do not care to engage with them. The company does not understand that just because you are a mediocre pharmacist, does not mean you will make a good manager. Poor decision making has hurt several employees and management is oblivious to it."
Current Employee - I T says"I have been working at Nemours Children's Health System full-time Cons: The IT department is full of micro managers. You are required to give daily updates on every waking moment of your day. Look into the organizational chart, it’s full family members and best friends. In addition, there is corruption going on from hiring from outside businesses owned by management. There is too much middle management."
