The Nemours Foundation is a non-profit organization in Jacksonville, Florida, created by philanthropist Alfred I. du Pont in 1936, and dedicated to improving the health of children. The Foundation operates the Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Delaware; the Nemours Children’s Hospital in Orlando's Medical City; and Nemours Children's Clinics in Delaware, Florida and Pennsylvania.

A former registered nurse mentioned, "Managers at Nemours are corrupt and get where they are by throwing people under the bus and walking all over people. There is favoritism, unfair practices, and double standards. Bullying is a constant and reporting you gets you nothing but retaliation. If you question anything, raise any issues/concerns, or even seem like you don’t completely agree with everything management says you will be Targeted and they will make your life miserable until you quit or they find a reason to fire you. HR is absolutely useless and if you go to them with concerns they will help management drive the buss right over you."

"I have never been in an environment that was so distasteful. The management is ridiculous. Manager is a bully. If you don’t suck up you’re out the door. HR is useless if they are friends with management they will always side with them. Never again will I ever apply to anything within this company. As hard I have been working doesn’t matter I am one foot out the door by a threat to termination by management. Again doesn’t matter how hard you work. Cons: Management"

"So many employees have left and are glad to not be associated with this company anymore. The managers are horrible, fake, two-faced and treat employees with little to no respect. It was once a great place to work but the new management has a major attitude issue towards the employees. It's like high school, the managers are bullies. As one manager said, I have eyes and ears everywhere. So if you say anything thry don't like, you are out of there."

Management is sneaky and has people walk around listening to employees. Employees are told managers have eyes and ears everywhere and if you do not put the company needs above anything else you are no use to the company."

"The dental department is pretty much non exiastant. I quit a job to work for what I thought was a great company, upon arrival it was so unorganized and no dental department. I was asked to fill in for a medical assistant in other departments which I was not qualified for."

"I would never recommend this place for anyone. It started off well and then it continuously changed for the worse. Management is very dismissive and abusive towards staff and unreceptive to any concerns that you have. Worst few years of my life. This is a place that will suck years of your life away. Do NOT apply for this company."

"A very bad work/life balance. If you have a family, or kids of your own, you don't want to work here! Management plays favorites, and stretches the staff thin. Co-workers backstab you, and are quick to "throw you under the bus." When you have a new idea, you are quickly cut down by management, and then they present the same idea in their words to make it seem like they thought of it. If you have a concern of any kind, the most common and famous response there will be... "It is what it is". You are referred to as a "body", or "pair of hands", and since management bickers amongst themselves, getting a clear answer about anything is a joke. As for training, if you like being thrown right into the fire, this is the place for you! Once you decide you want to leave, they treat you poorly, and make you feel uncomfortable. Oh, and the vacation and floating holidays that you worked hard for to accrue? Yea, they take all that away from you too! Other than helping the kids there, there is absolutely no advantage to working at Nemours. Cons: everything else"

"I had been employed there for 13 years and the work environment has completely changed. It has become entangled in the health BUSINESS vs health CARE. As a children's hospital that is a fine line to walk. The focus of daily operations would solely be based off of numbers & statistics vs a humanistic factor. The work expectations of a single person would become overwhelming since statically everything can be done in a perfect 8 hour shift without any hickups. And in effort to save, expect do the role of 4 all roled into 1. Cons: Poorly managed, over bearing workload, toxic enviroment"

Communication with external and internal facilities such as Hospitals, ER and Urgent Care Centers. Faxing and mailing letters to patients for the Doctors. Participating in once a month staff meetings. Light cleaning of the office. Documenting all information for a patient into chart for doctors and Hospitals to review. Answering calls or calling back patients with point of care. Cons: Paid Time off, Breaks and Lunches"

Just been told we won't be paid and forced to use PTO if we have it during the shutdown period. All the support and executive staff will be paid because they can work from home. If the hospital is shut down what work is there to do that entitles these people to continue collecting a paycheck? One this is clear Larry Moss and Co. only care about one thing and that is the bottom line and their bonuses. Would never recommend anyone working here or having children come here for care."

They are out of touch with their workforce or they do not care to engage with them. The company does not understand that just because you are a mediocre pharmacist, does not mean you will make a good manager. Poor decision making has hurt several employees and management is oblivious to it."

Look into the organizational chart, it’s full family members and best friends. In addition, there is corruption going on from hiring from outside businesses owned by management.
